Celebrating Birthdays
Birthdays are a very special occasion! We celebrate birthdays in our classroom by playing a game, singing, and giving the student a little birthday gift. Birthday treats are an option for students to bring. If your child would like to bring in treats, please email me a few days in advance so that we can decide the best day or time of day to have the treats.
ALL TREATS MUST BE STORE BOUGHT. NO RED BEVERAGES. These are school-wide rules that we must follow. Please remember peanut free.
Students that do not participate in birthday celebrations will spend their time outside of the classroom until the celebration is over.
Classroom Parties
We have three different classroom parties throughout the year. For each party, we usually have different parents volunteer to bring different items such as drinks, snacks, paper plates, napkins, etc. The parties usually take place at 2:00 on the school day closest to the holiday.
Our class list is located on the "Welcome to Second Grade" home page.
